Nutritionist Salary
Alot of people ask what the difference between a nutritionist and a dietitian and what is the difference in salary. Both require education but a Registered Dietitian requires a bachelor degree from an accredited college approved by the American Dietetic Association (ADA). This is followed up by a minimum 6 month internship. Next you have to pass a required examination administered by the (CDR) Commission on Dietetic Registration, and keep their credentials updated regularly. The term Nutritionist has been used losely in the United States. A nutritionist is much less specific. An associates or bachelors degree in Public Health, Nutrition Science, Health and Wellness or Healthcare administration are common degrees for becoming a nutritionist. As you can see this effects the salary range in this field drastically. Salaries vary by geographical region, education level, title, and years of practice. I found that having my bachelors degree really increased my salary. Its 2 years of study worth a lifetime of more income. Its worth it!!!
